air pump
    #712652 - 06/30/02 06:07 AM (21 years, 9 months ago)

I have an air pump and want to incorporate it into my terr. Do I make a hole in the side and put it on a timer or do I add some vent holes with filter paper on the sides for air exchange or what!?!

I am casing if that helps...anyone.

Depends on lots of things.... how big the air pump is, how you are humidifying, size of terranium etc.

What you need to do is make an exhaust port for gases to go out, usually at the bottom of the terranium.

Good luck

what is best run the pump and bubble stone into a jar with water or directly into the perlite at the bottom of the grow chamber?

Well, if you feel like you need extra humidity then you should use it in a jar of h2o/h2o2. Otherwise, burying it in the perlite works pretty well.

I'm guessing, though, that if you're using perlite (and keeping it wet) you probably don't need much more humidity.

The whole thing is in a room that gets VERY warm and the humidity is excessive...turned some shrooms blue! Need less humidity. Actaully, what I need to do is invest some capital...quit being poor!
