 Confusion and "loop thinking"?

Hello, a fictional character that will hereafter be referred to only as "I" ate 1.4 or 1.5 grams of P.Cubensis Ecuador mushrooms Friday Night. I noticed alot of loop thinking -- specifically, concentrating way too much, and for too long, on having to talk to parents -- even though it was late at night (between 1:00 and 5:30am) and the parents were asleep. Also, I noticed alot of "confusion"...
This is the second trip I have experienced. Has anyone else noticed the confusion and/or loop thinking, and does it recur when you trip again? Is there a way to combat it?

Has anyone else noticed the confusion and/or loop thinking, and does it recur when you trip again?
yeah, this is common while tripping, try reading some of the trip reports here at the shroomery

Yes, definitely... I've had a couple experiences that sound almost exactly like yours in set/setting and amount/type of mushrooms consumed, and this confusion was strong with me as well.
I would continually stand up, feeling like there was something I had to do, but then I would just stare into space and think "Uuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmm...... what was I doing.....???"
And when I decided to leave my bedroom in the middle of the night with my dad sleeping right down the hall, I remember standing in the doorway for what seemed like forever, thinking over and over and over about just going down the freaking hall to the bathroom!
It seemed to only last for part of the trip, but the confusion and going in mind loops about the stupidest stuff was definitely very strong.

P.S. On my last trip I remembered these feelings from before and was able to stop them from happenening most of the time... I think it just takes a little experience.

Thanks for the replies...I think that thinking about the confusion, etc. *after* the trip will help me to avoid it next time.

lol..When I was walking down the hall towards my room, I knocked into the wall a couple of times and was afraid they'd hear it and get up...
And I was afraid to have my light on because if they went in the hall they'd be able to see light coming through the bottom of my door and they might bother me.
I was also afraid that I'd be to "into the effects" to hear them walking down the hall.. Ugh..
Anyone else have experiences like these?

Of course, confusion and loop-thinking are almost basic ...
Confusion gets more extreme as the dose goes up (loop thinking does as well) ... on my half-eighth trips I often am coherent enough but still stumbling over my words, but too happy to care or notice.

Try tripping in an evironment where you don't have to worry about parents. That usually is the reason for any confusion I've had, thinking that I shouldn't move, keep really quiet and lie in bed in case they heard me and came in. Or wait until they go away or something.

yeah, dude. last time i tripped (on 2 grams, my highest dose yet) it was the middle of the night and my parents were asleep down the hall. i was doing n2o too and whenever id inhale, time would slow down, the music would start looping with the pitch going down, and id go into this recursive laughing. it was as if all of my experiences were going into a delay with 100% feedback. id laugh, and then laugh again, but id still be doing the first laugh also. while coming down id start realizing that im laughing out loud in the middle of the night with my parents right down the hall. id take my headphones off, to guage how loud i was laughing, while looking at the door to make sure my parents werent trying to come in. then id take another hit, and id start rethinking all the stuff from the previous hit, along with all the new stuff i was thinking, and then realize what i was thinking about, and then id start thinking about the way i was thinking too in all these crazy loops. i felt thick with confused thought, like a neanderthal. it was pretty crazy.

That sort of stuff has only happened to me when I smoke weed. I get stuck in these annoying _paranoid_ or just plain stupid mind loops like I had to do something, but forget what it was.
"What the hell am I doing this for? What did I take....."
LOL thats the most confusing thing in the world. Then I eventuially piece together that I took whats called a 'mushroom'.
