 Acid not working?

A few of my friends recently purchased some acid. Now, I was with one of them when they dropped it, and he had an amazing time. The acid was definitly NOT bad. But when my other friend tried the same stuff, it didn't work for him. He said he felt a little bit different, but nothing else. He decided to try another hit a week later, and this time absolutely nothing happened. Has anyone encountered something like this? I find it strange that it didn't work.

I've not tried acid, but I do understand the biochemistry of it pretty well. For the acid to not work based on his particular brain chemistry, he'd have to be brain dead first.
So three thoughts occur;
first, he just didn't eat it and is lying
second, whoever laid the blotter / gel didn't do it properly and has missed bits - would perfectly explain why he felt a bit different but not much else - you never appreciate how much you have to stir, stir and re-stir solutions to get them homogenous until you do chemistry at a high level
thirdly, his particular bit has decayed due to something the acid was exposed to before or after he ate it

Sounds fishy-- it's tough to miss hits right next to each other-- Maybe your friend who was "fucked up" was acting? I've been to more than one party where some kid tried to be as fucked up as he thinks he's supposed to be... seems to me that if two out of three hits of the same stuff were bunk, your third one (first guy) is bullshitting, or at least exaggerating his experience.
Just another possibility...

This has definately happened to me too. I was at Summercamp last month, so i decided that that was a better time than ever to try acid. I took a sugar cube with 1 hit on it and i got a good body high/euphoria feeling with very very mild peripheral hallucinations.
The next day i took two hits of liquid with like 5 other people and apparently they were are tripping pretty hard but i just got the same euphoric feeling but this time just a little more intense. I decided to get a blotter about 3 hours later, which just prolonged my high (as far as i can remember).
So all in all i wasted $30 on 4 hits of acid and didnt really trip at all, so i can definately see where your friend is coming from...

Thank you. That seems the most probable.
I know that my first friend wasn't joking around. It hit him pretty hard. And I watched my second friend take the acid, so I know he did it right.

Sorry to here about that Gunners. I was at summercamp and only saw liquid going around. I had 2 drops and was feeling dandy all night! That was the strongest, fastest come-up I've ever experienced with LSD.

i have had a sheet were some people didnt have as good of a time as others on hits that were right next to eachother
i found it odd my 2 friends tripped pretty hard off of one hit the first night we had it, then a couple who took one hit each the next day felt nothing...a few other people reported nothing on one hit as well
when i tested it i took one first and had a great body buzz and slight visuals...i dropped a second hit about an hour after the first and another hour after that i was tripping
a couple weeks later i took 3 hits of the same acid and was trippin for sure
my final conclusion was that it was just some weak ass LSD...2 hits was fun but nothing spectacular, and the same with 3...it would take a 10 strip to really blast you out there...i didnt get to try though

Did you get it from a guy with a really weird voice, and i think black hair? Most of the people in my camp got some doses from him on thursday and they said they will probably never again have acid that good...as luck would have it he came around again on sunday night and my friend wanted to buy me a hit, but i was already packed up and ready to go home

Did anyone touch the paper doses after the first one was taken? Acid can be absorbed through your fingers, and especially if youre constantly touching them or holding them.
