Went 4 wheeling with a buddy today to a cow pasture. We got to the gate, I opened it up, he drove through. I closed it hopped on the back. Went In a little ways, crossed a stream and was in the pasture. We start looking for mushrooms in the patties....Im looking down..He says "Uh Nigel...Look over there!" I look up and what do I see but 2 bulls are some more cows running towards us! I almost shit my pants, I ran like i seen a ghost back to the gate and opened it up, Buddy comes bootin it through on his 4 wheeler and I close the gate panting! Then we call another buddy down later to hunt with us. He gets down and starts tossing some rocks at the cows when the came running at us and they stopped running. So I guess they might have not trampeled me earlier? If they just tried to scare me, they did a fine job! I found 1 tiny pinner mushroom, and a few little tiny ones with yellow caps. Nothing good. Just dirty underwear came out of this day

Cows ever bother you guys?

lol, the one with the bulls... that sucks u didn't find any mushies. You might want to use the old tequnique by wearing a 2-person bull costume (_you know, one holds the head, and the other bends over with his butt flying high_), hehe.

I guess im pretty lucky. The cows in the field I go to always walk away from me so I dont ever really have to worry about them.

yeah the three times i have been hunting i got chased too, but i didnt leave. they always came at a trot and then just kept coming closer, not the bull though. i keep to the fenceline anyway just in case. they probably think your going to feed them, but it doesnt hurt to have a projectile especially a cow bone so they get the picture.

A cow costume may not work. I Don't want the risk of getting humped by a bull

Yeah, Ive had a few run-ins with cows. I never really thought to think they were just coming to you for food. Hm I guess that makes sense. Still kinda scary cause they are quite large creatures indeed

cows are more scared of you then you are of them-

unless you provoke them

or they have babies

A Pig? Those the ones with tusks? That'd scare the hell out of me!

When I was smaller I was fishing this river by a cow pasture...I moo'd..And almost shit my pants when I seen the whole herd of cows come tunning at me! I ran behind a tree! The stopped 10 feet away from me and stared me down...Last time I ever said moo around cows..

Pigs are fucking nuts, but fortunately an encounter is pretty rare(they always smell you first). It can get bad if you stumble on a mother and her kids. I remember seeing their trails in Oahu in Manoa Valley, but i never saw the pigs.
