That has to be the best situation you could possible dream up. They are cool looking mushrooms as well. You either found some kind of freak of nature spot, or congratulations on your outdoor patch. Nice pictures.

21 more from yesterday and today...
that brings the total so far (more buttons seen today, so more are coming) to a whopping 33+21+21=75 mushrooms found in mulch, and 45 just in the last week, from a different location from the first ones.
This kinda offsets the fact that one of my B+ jars is contaminated.
These latest ones are purty. Really conical caps on Monster and his buddies. I'll post a pic or two later.

And ten more this morning. I could have made it thirteen, but I left those to open up and drop more spores. These have cracked caps, and I'll post pics later.

damn that pic of the monster looks awesome. Your find has to be the greatest ever. that would be cool, just running around town looking for cubes. screw the pastures. so many mushrooms are you going to have a purpose for all of them?
when you get a house you know that outdoor cultivation there would not be hard at all they seem to really love it there. keep the pics rolling i could look at these all day.

As far as I know, this is the first flush. I haven't seen them there before, and I think I would have noticed. They JUST put this bed in a couple months ago, as the building in the background was just built in like May. We had a bunch of rain recently, and I think these are the first flush. We're expecting a TON of rain, for like another week starting tomorrow. So yeah. More.
I haven't even gone around the other side this week. There are some growing around the corner of the fence, but I don't wanna be really conspicuous. It's bad enough I stop my truck beside these and jump out really quick, toss three or four (or ten) in my bed, and take off every morning.
My boss is cool with it, but the neighboring businesses and those across the street may wonder what's up. And I don't need piggies spying on me...
I got three more this morning, really quickly, and saw a few more, but they're small and alot of them are getting dried out. The mulch doesn't seem to hold moisture near the top for a long time, which is why they only pop up after a couple of rainy days in a row.
I figure leaving a few there to drop more spores can't be a bad thing. As long as nobody starts poking around there and alerts the authorities. But honestly, I don't think anyone else knows what they are, or even cares. It's just not on people's radar, I don't think.
And no, I didn't plan on the monster can... It was in the bed of my truck, I thought it would be hilarious, as I had called it a monster before, to put something beside it for reference that happened to say monster on it. Just lucky coincidence, but I do like the result.
I wish I had weighed that fucker, but I only have a postage scale (the hangy kind). I did attempt a cloning of it. I have the stem butt on cardboard, and will spawn that to coir or manure or both, and I have an LC clone that I hope isn't contaminated... my first LC was, and I haven't tried to knock up anything else with my other ones.

Ok, so Monday, the lawn men butchered the biggies that had popped up over the weekend. Needless to say, I was a bit miffed. Oh well, I can't really bitch. I mean, there are more coming, and I have enough to choke a horse already.
Today I saw these as I turned into the parking lot
The two mature ones looked neat.
Then, I looked around and saw these. Almost mistook them for pan subbs. Zonate cubes... how novel.
Side view
I didn't wanna babysit, so I just ate him. I kept the other two and they are drying out further now.
