Anyone ever see anything like this ??

I think my first casing may have a parasite called verticillium ? Anyone familiar, the mushroom cultivator describes it as a parasite that leave brown spots, streaks or cracks on stems. Carried by insects and caused by not sterilizing the casing material, which I did not. Hmmmm I posted a big thread on it in the contamination forum and discuss it in more detail, but am curious if any of you vets have ever seen anything like this on your shrooms and if so are they still edible?

From what I know the streaks are normal if there is an abundance of moisture in the chamber with them. I don't think that you have much to worry about.
To be on the safe side though I would post on the contamination forum.
