A lot of different events in my life have culminated tonight in an insight i would like to remind my brothers and sisters at the Shroomery.

The importance of Family.

A lot of the really "fucked up" people that i know have come from really "fucked up" families.

Clearly there are a lot of screwed up people out there in the world,  how many of them are coming from screwed up families?  It seems to me that there are a lot of them.

If people learned to focus on improving families and family relations more, how many of these fucked up people could actually turn out well???

For those of us who want to change the world, maybe we should start at home.

When it comes down to it...what in life is more important than family?

Take care of your brothers and sisters, we are all connected

My family is very open, accepting, and loving. And big. I'm a lucky dude.

Right on, Help. I find myself playing peacemaker with family members all the time and trying to remind them that they shouldn't waste their time arguing over petty shit. I also try and help my family members, especially the older ones, with any help that they need. Sometimes I feel like my sister and I are the only ones who care about keeping the family unified though. I guess somebody has to do it.

At this very point in my life, I have never been more grateful for my family. They are incredibly supportive.

Woah,woah now,amigo. This isn't always the case. Humans are social, yea a core family sounds just fantastic doesn't it? I'm not a bad person by any stretch, a little weird for sure,  but certainly not "bad" or "fucked up". I have almost Zero to do with my family. While my family haven't really had an "serious" issue we were most certainly what you would probably call "fucked up".

it's all on how you take it, just because someone hada fucked up family life does Not mean they are going to be "fucked up" themselves. If you take it as a lesson in life (as you should anything negative), than it can be a blessing,making you more fit to deal with life on your own.

I relish in my dislike for the Family group. I may be better fit for this world being able to rely completely as a "lone wolf".

yea man im definitely making overlybroad generalizations...i have a fucked up family as well and im not fucked up either

im just saying that a lot of people who are fucked up also have a very bad home environment

of course not all...always exceptions

im just saying try to take care of those you care about while you still can
