I'd order some right now but i dont see anything on your webpage about how discrete your packaging is. If anything comes in the mail for me i have like 6 people who all get curious to what im up to and any markings on any package would be really bad.

Nice Filter Disc :thumbup:

I can't believe you're going to put it on a metal lid and make it like that . The metal will start to rust in no time .

Probably be a much better product made from a plastic lid .

Will be ordering some of those Filters though , been wanting to give them a try .

Yeah, I want to put it on plastic ones, but my drill bit isn't sharp enough and just breaks the plastic when I try to drill the hole. Haven't had much time to get out and buy a new one.

I had the same problem when I started making mine . Make sure to put the lid on a piece of wood before drilling .

These types of drills work great



I use an electric drill , not battery , when doing this . Like the higher RPM . And let the drill do the work , don't apply a lot of downward pressure . Just enough;)

Drill the hole for the vacutainer a little undersized , and I've been able to get by without even using anything to secure them . Just push in the hole and they expand to fill it up . Still recommend some GOOP or something , I was just checking the seal .

Yes plastic is the way to go, also with gasket and wide mouth lids...

So people can use current wide mouth jars and microwave the jars.

How do you suggest securing the to the jar lid?

I was thinking about using RTV gasket sealer but I don't want to cause any complications.

I use testors cement for plastic models around the edge of the filter disc on the inside. It works great.
