Challenge for Good IDer

Okay, I don't think these are active at all but I am just interested in knowing what they may be. Since I don't have a mushroom ID book, I figured this would be the best place. Sorry I have no digital camera so I will do my best to describe them.

Description:

Small mushrooms, about 3-4 inches tall with very skinny (maybe 2-3 mm) stem.
Stem is plain white, cap is a beige color, some with very light brown in center. Cap is very flimsy, almost see-through, and conical/dome shaped with light brown gills and spore print. No bluing evident when bruised.
Many of the small mushrooms were found growing sporadically in lawn. Found in northern Pennsylvania.

I agree with the Conocybe lactea guess. Conocybe has about 50 species and they are difficult to ID without a microscope. C. lactea is a common lawn mushroom.
