Challenge for Good IDer

Okay, I don't think these are active at all but I am just interested in knowing what they may be. Since I don't have a mushroom ID book, I figured this would be the best place. Sorry I have no digital camera so I will do my best to describe them.

Description:

Small mushrooms, about 3-4 inches tall with very skinny (maybe 2-3 mm) stem.
Stem is plain white, cap is a beige color, some with very light brown in center. Cap is very flimsy, almost see-through, and conical/dome shaped with light brown gills and spore print. No bluing evident when bruised.
Many of the small mushrooms were found growing sporadically in lawn. Found in northern Pennsylvania.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Namaste.

I agree with the Conocybe lactea guess. Conocybe has about 50 species and they are difficult to ID without a microscope. C. lactea is a common lawn mushroom.

Happy mushrooming!

Thanks for the replies guys... I am assuming C. Lactea is non-active?
