Hmm that sounds like a good idea. Where do I get jelly? I looked all over the board and could only find links to jam.

Has anyone ordered jelly from Ryche Hawk? Is he reliable? I ordered jelly from him 4.5 days ago and was wondering. I checked the mail today (Sunday) and it still didn't come.

Buffalo, I ordered some Ecuadorian Jam from him. The shipment was a little late because he was out jelly hunting at some supermarket in Washington. But he made up for it by sending me two jars of jam.

As far as finding jelly, good luck.

Another method I've heard for PBJs is to toast the bread. Does the heat affect the potency?

I read somewhere else that if you toast the bread BEFORE applying the jam it doesn't affect potency.

This hasn't been tried with jelly but I'm thinking about doing it. I don't have a toaster but am using a poor-man's toaster I was able to assemble for only $68.

I'm so hungry... and I need a cigarette. Maybe some sex, too.

I think I'll make mysel f a PBJ, toast the bread, and cut it into four triangles, like on that episode of Sesame Street where Telly gets all pushy with that gook that works in the restaurant. Or maybe I'll just have some Saltines and tea.

Yah, how do you dry these things so they dont lose potency? Also, i need some sterilization tips! It gets contam'd if i leave it out for only a couple days...i tried pasturizing at 150 degrees for 5 hours and all that was left was ash and a nasty smell in the house, and drenching them in rubbing alcohol only led me to the hospital...any help? :tongue: :rolleyes:
