Illinois Bundleflower, anyone messed around with extracting DMT from it?
    #7096090 - 06/26/07 08:18 PM (10 years, 9 months ago)

Inquiring minds would love to know if anyone has experience using Illinois Bundleflower for a DMT extraction. They have about .34% of N,N -DMT and .11% N-methyltryptamine.

Is the N-methyltryptamine fine to smoke? Has anyone tried using an extraction from bundleflower?

You'd need a couple of pounds to get somewhat near a smokeable dose. There's plenty of other legal alternatives to extract from, look up the plant phallaris grass or the Erowid vaults for good extraction candidates.

I have no clue what N-methyltryptamine is.

Its not that far off in alkaloidal content from mimosa, so i'd suppose yields would be somewhat smaller, but pounds for a dose seems rather low...

k. trout says Desmanthus Ill. is so variable in content, that it could be nearly zero % and not even worth it. desmanthus leptolobus is said to be much more reliable, containing maybe as much as .1 or .2%
