Pinning under cake
    #7089924 - 06/25/07 06:43 AM (16 years, 9 months ago)

One of my brf cakes started to pin, not a great pinset but the best that I have had. Took it out of the FC and noticed a lot of pins on the underside, the side that is on the tin foil. Should I let them grow, pluck them off, or maybe suspend it in the FC?

Would it be better to simply turn it over?

I read here that the pinning happens where conditions are best- I guess you need more airborne humidity in the FC.

They will still be good after the 3rd flush and you can just wait to pull them out. If its just a pin I dont think it will get the FAE it should and will stay a pin.

i had the same thing, i had em on a sort of metal rack thing, some pinned on the top, but more pined on the bottom and grew down through the grate, they started doing it on the second flush too, but i decided to just flip em over

Dr_T, their are about 30 pins on the top so I can't just flip it over.

Exact same thing happened on my last grow as I was using a metal grate. Basically, when it came time to harvest i twisted the cake off the grating, picking all the mushies from the bottom in one smooth twist. i thought that was cool. lol

The cake is not elavated on a grate, it is on tin foil. So what should I do, let them grow, pick them off, or suspend it?
