Both are very forgiving and both are great allies. You won't regret choosing GTs to be your first teacher.

I think that I may be one of the only people who did not get either one of them for my 1st strains, from what I have read they seem to both be very hardy

Didn't pick any of those strains for my first. I picked out the "Ban Hua Thanon" strain. It's going great

Both are fabulous strains for beginners and pros alike.
I prefer Golden Teacher as I have had the most enlightening trips off it, one of my favorite strains to date out of many many others.
Not to mention it has amazing mycelial growth, big yields and is very strong and hard to mess up compared to other strains.

...and there is a "STRAIN THREAD" stickied at the top of the cultivation forum for all of your strain related questions.
Thank you, and have a great day.

really depends on how well your substrate colonizes...
and how well you have done your research.
it is possible.
but most newbies usually don't.

not if you start timing from when you sterilize your jars. it usually takes 2-3 weeks for my half pints to colonize and then two more weeks until i harvest, plus i wait an extra week after the jars are colonized. so, it's almost always going to be 5-6 weeks, ime.

0 to 9 grams dried...
each cake...
depending on your growing conditions...
and how well you followed instructions.

in my limited experience GTs are fast colonizers, i knocked up 5 1/2pint jars with a cambodian LC two and a half weeks ago, they got off to a fast start but then slowed down a lil, 5 days after i knocked them up i knocked up 4 1pint jars with multispore GT and those finished colonizing a day or two before the cambodian LC jars, weird......looking forward to brithin those son bitches in a week!
