Hello, I found these in a cow field 20 minutes from my house. Just would like to know what kind they are and if they are edible/active.
Habitat: Close to tree line with cow field, growing in cow manure.
Gills:
Stem: White
Cap: White with black blue edges, 1 to 4 inches in diameter.
Spore Print:
Bruising: Caps and stems turned dark blue/black.
Location: South GA

Yeah. Id say antillarum too. The things i might debate is the dark blue/black bruising of the flesh you claim an the lack of an annulus. Also, the cap hangs lower on anitllarum i thought. heres a good antillarum pic.

Wanna debate this over again guys? Not 100% sure on the antillarum. That would be a really big pan cyan though..!

i highly doubt it is a pan cyan that big but there is always a posability, i found a cube a year or so ago with my cousin that was close to a foot tall and about a 6" cap. it was a very out of the ordinary trip. i think i didnt expect it to be as potent

Eh... I cant tell you for sure man. Sorry. It could be an inactive panaeolus or something we cant tell for sure. Just check for the blue psilocybian bruising. But it cant be a pan cyan. not a 4 inch cap anyways. Although larger have been found/grown...

So there is no chance that they will make me trip? I have never tripped before and I REALLY wanna try it, and no one around my area sells the stuff. So, I have to resort to picking my own and posting on here to see whether or not they are good.

damn; i can't see your pic, but coon, alan and subbedhunter are saying Pan antillarum, that's almost certainly what they are and aside from your claim to blueing, that matches your description. those are not active.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
