my little pony & a monster Treasure Coast, 1st flush!

hey now! check out this awesome Treasure coast fruit of which i am the proud (surrogate) father! the pic below was taken yesterday:



i checked it this morning, and looked what happened!



it got so heavy it knocked the poor cake over and dropped spores all over my perlite. how awesome!

haha! i wonder what kinds of crazy shrooms would grow from My Little Pony poop?

a cake with some greenish--blueing on it (probly you can't see it):



what do you think? the outside of several of my cakes are now lightly covered with what appears to be the blue-green bruising color. but, is it possible it could be mold? it doesn't smell like mold...

lastly, here's a shot of a very fecund TC cake:



i have two questions:
1) on drying: if i cut the large TC shroom in half to accelerate drying (as i've seen recommended), i don't cut the cap in half, do i? just the stem, correct?

2) on the best time to take a spore print: i wasn't able to print the large TC shroom as i intended. i'm just too busy. :frown: however, assuming i get a few more flushes out of each cake, is it less desirable to take prints from 2nd or 3rd flushes? that is, to get the best and most aggressive strain, do you want to take prints from the fruits that appear in the first flush and exhibit the most aggressive growth?

I believe you remove a piece of sterile tissue from the center of the stem, and place that on a plate of agar (or the brf substitute for agar which i find works good) and then incubate at 82 degrees fahrenheit and it will gro mycelium you can use to inoculate grain. Correct me if Im wrong, just going by what I've read and done.

yeah just cut the stem in half.. id sometimes cut in querters with huge ones. to hell with waiting days to dry no need to cut the cap unless its ultra thick

creamcorn has the easiest cloning tek IMO but for the most success use fahsters.
