If you are using the PMP then you do not really even need to fan. The stones or bubble wands will create a constant positive air exchange. So just cut some holes in the lid of your setup so the air can escape. You can cover the holes with Tyvek or something similar but it is not needed. Goodluck!

hi knotaclu. fyi, bubble stones are different from bubble wands; stones don't do anything without the wand attachment. so if you're trying to raise the humidity with only a bubble stone, you're not going to have much success. the Poor Man's Pod (PMP) recommends you place two bubble WANDS at the bottom of your fruiting chamber (FC) such that the wands circulate air and provide for your fresh air exchange (FAE). i am sure many people have had great success with the PMP and from what i understand it is a fairly self-automated setup. that is, it doesn't require much maintenance or fanning. yet, bubble wands aren't necessary if you follow RogerRabbit's FC tek, in which he merely punctures a great number of 1/8" to 1/4" holes on all sides of his FC--top, bottom, sides. the holes provide a good deal of FAE, and when combined with periodic misting and fanning, seems to do a great job. besides, if you're like me, you don't mind periodic fanning and misting, as you can't keep from checking up on your babies every hour!

a bubble stone in a glass of water does no good for humidity. but good luck knotaclu!

Anyone know a good way to keep humidity up when using a stone + airpump?
