    #7068448 - 06/20/07 04:11 AM (13 years, 10 months ago)

hey all.i have a question.

my mycobags have stopped colonizing, ones at 85% the others at 95%!!.

don't know if its because the weather here has been changing a bit because it was really hot, then cool, now its hot again.

what do i do to get the last bits colonized??

umm is spawn where the bag first colonizes ??

coz i'm still just at the stage where mycelium is filling up the bag.

except it seems to have stopped just before completion

or is it too late with the cakes being almost fully colonized?

Cakes?? Do you mean rye, or wbs? If it is a grain you should move it around to speed colonization.

Break it up and move it around a bit, that should help speed it up. Try to evenly distribute the uncolonized grain.

This is true. Also, the breaking up might increase your FAE through the filter, and this is a good thing. Could be why you're stuck at 90%.

FWIW, my mycobags always seem to go slowest at the last 10%.
