I get that too, I have to have some type of air movement or water to keep me cool while tripping. I think it's because my heart rate increases somewhat from the experiences and causes my body temperature to rise. My temp is usually in the 97 degree range so it's pretty noticable while tripping.

Ocassionally, I don't think it necessarily has anything to do specifically with mushrooms as a come-up, but sometimes it feels that way as your body reacts with it. Danel

Well, one of my last trips alone, I had something like this happen to me. It wasn't so much a heat-FLASH, or in any specific part of my body so much as I just felt like I kept getting hotter and hotter. I couldn't tell if it was my body, or if it was inside me. This was probably my strongest trip, and I'm glad to be reminded of it, as intense as it was. I crushed up 4g... more than I've ever eaten at one time. It was one of those situations where it was all that was left of the bag, and I didn't really want to have two 2g trips. So I figured 'fuck it, if I'm gonna eat that much, I might as well go big and crush it into a powder, gulp it all down at once.' Hah. Just want to clarify this, I don't normally eat an eigth. My comfort level is 2-2.5g, and I'll rarely cross that line. So to say the least, this was also one of those situations where I was not at all aware or ready for what I was about to go through.
I'm not going to report it, as much as I wish I would have post-trip (believe me, I wanted to, but I was totally run-down after this one), but it was extremely intense overall. I think I was peaking when I started noticing the heat. I came up with this idea (or belief, which is of course what happens to 'ideas' when you're peaking off of four grams) that I was putting off too much energy. Then, judging from my sister coughing in the other room, and then my dog barking downstairs for no fucking apparent reason - my reasoning was I'm putting off too much energy, and I'm waking the whole house up. Fuck I could be waking the whole world up. I thought I might die, knowing well how many times I'd been over this during trips of the past.... I knew that I wouldn't die. But I knew that I would. Make sense? Yes, I promise, it was crystal clear. It made all the sense in the world. Still getting hotter. I have this vision of the words "SOMETHING HAPPENED" written in huge letters across my ceiling, and I'm trying to backtrack where it came from. Did I write that? Is that in blood? as if it is a vision from the future, and I'm trying to make up a story, or a reason for it. Finally, after my sister coughed a second/third/hundred-thirty-first time(?), I leap from my bed and, trying to keep calm, open her door. "hey," I whisper. "HEY!" loud whisper... obviously I woke her up, as I can tell from her voice. I climb down my steps louder than I want to, go straight into my parents' room, and "Are you guys up? Is something going on?" Father-figure gives the same confused 'huh?' as sister. Relief. A little laughter. "Nothing, man. Everything's fine. I'm sorry I woke you." I know I'll have to explain this later, but at this moment, I'm assured that yes, I will die, but not tonight. I lay on my couch in the living room staring at the grandfather clock. The roman numerals and hands seem to be shifting in a big blurry circle, and I lay there enjoying the reality of this, I feel sober, everything looks real except THAT. THAT is fucking incredible.
So yeah, anyhow, I think it's all in your head. My first couple of trips I thought I saw worm-like things crawling around in my skin, and got all freaked out until I realized I can't trust my feelings while in this state. I cannot trust my eyes, and I cannot trust my fear. So, I don't. And when I do, that's great. Makes it that much more an experience.

I get it sometimes when I smoke weed too so it may be that I am just more perceptive to the temperature changes in the room at the time.
