raccons often sit and stare at shit if they dont know what it is. if you have seen it often during the day it may be rabid. when they are rabid they are up 24/7. they often look like shit, thin fur etc.

yes, they do. my friend who used to wrok at an animal clinic said every other week they ship off a big sack full of kitty and puppy heads to the county for testing. no shit =P

my friend's 'godfather' who lives up the street has made friends with the local racoons. became hand-feed friendly with the mom, and now all 5 of her babies are his allies. one of the fuckers was even smart enough to pick up a hose he left on and give the others water from its spout!
