But for whats its worth i've transfered a 100percent colonized BRF into 6 WBS Jars, had a 50 percent success rate, 3 began colonizing, the other 3 (its been over a week now) show no signs of colonizing..

My BRF colonized a large mycobag of straw just fine.

Anyway, a full week probably isn't necessary. Full colonization plus three or four days seems to work for me.

I figure, tell him a week, and he may wait a day, tell him to do it when its 100 percent colonized, he'll do it at 90 percent...

But yeah, 4 days is probably fine...

I didn't realize you could start a LC from the MYC!
but havn't seen a Tek on this. Search is not pulling anything up.
So I was asking if I just "Shaved a little tiny bit of Myc into the syrup jar if it would be enough to "Take over" and form an LC

Yeah, but inoculating more jars won't help your existing jars fruit faster... especially if you screw them up!

Anyway, finish your thirty pack and go find a job! You clearly don't have this scaled up enough to rely upon it, and shrooms don't go well with impatience.

You sure it's green, not just discoloration? Can't see much from those pics.

Top one looks fine to me. It just looks like the top portion is pressed closer to the glass of the jar. Now, I can't explain why it would have withdrawn less than the bottom of the jar, but then I can't say it's necessarily a problem either.

I remember your being concerned about eating contamination and getting sick.

If you eat a cake, you have no clue what lies within -- especially given your lack of expertise (no offense). Wait it out.

Oh, wait, it's not white down there? Sorry, it looked like it was just retracted from the jar. If it's not white, it's not colonized. If the bottom of the jar doesn't colonize after some time, it's probably gone anaerobic (i.e. bacterial).

If your jar is truly bacterial, and you even TRY to eat it, you will gag your brains out. It will be disgusting. But don't take your guts into your own hands, a septic jar will make you feel pretty rotten, I wager.

Nothing will probably happen, it was discussed at one point, and decided that there isnt much in the way of the good stuff until after it flushes, even then i think people ate several cakes...

Treat it like a grain to grain.

Why search the shroomery for information of course

Look up Grain to Grain and LC's.

Put two and two together and you'll get what i'm saying.

If there's one thing this hobby will eventually teach you, it's the patience is key. Key to good fruits, key to learning something from this hobby, and KEY to success.

Good luck man!

If it's white, it's fine. This is normal sectoring, or it may just be a perceptual thing due to retraction from the jar as I said.
