Furry stems?
    #7043701 - 06/13/07 08:53 PM (16 years, 8 months ago)

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I've done probably 7 or 8 grows using various methods. This time out I'm growing on brf cakes using Thailand Koh Samui Super Strain spores.

I've noticed something strange on my current flush that I've never seen before. Some of the mushrooms have "fur" along the length of their stems, but otherwise they look healthy. I'm used to seeing a white fuzz on some specimens, but this is new to me. I can't take a picture of them right now, but I should be able to soon. I'm just curious if this is something common with this strain and if it should be a cause for concern. If this isn't enough info I can definitely post pics soon.

completely normal. it's mycelium and i think it's due to low humidity.

the mycelium is towards the bottom of the stalk, correct?

It is mycelial growth, and it is due to very high humidity...it's a good sign.
