Woulden't holes or loose terrarium lids, suck out the humidity

I am useing a 10 gallon fish tank, but I am keeping the lid loose while I am at work, for some fresh air to get in, but is that just taking all the humidity out? I am gone for 8 hours. Thats a long time for them to not get any good misting.

I presume you have perlite in the bottom. It's always going to be a balance between FAE and humidity. I'd put a hydrometer in there; if it sinks below 95% or so, you need a humidifier or a new MO.

Also keep in mind that perlite creates ALOT of humidity constantly. if the lid is just a bit loose your probably ok. As said above a Hydrometer is very handy.
