New England Patriots.
    #7036631 - 06/12/07 03:35 AM (16 years, 7 months ago)

never been a pats fan, and i still hold a dislike for them. however u cant ignore than they are the best team in football now.

with the additions of Moss, Walker, and Stallworth at WR to complement Dillion and Marooney, best offense in the league.. i believe even better than the Saints now.

and also adding Thomas on defense is fucking huge.. what a great player coming from the stud defense of baltimore.

Yup.

Yeah, the Pats will run away with the AFC East for sure, I'm just hoping for a week one victory by the Jets, take 'em by surprise, while we work our way to another wildcard berth. :yesnod:

Miami has a pretty interesting offense actually.. with ronnie brown and cady williams (i believe caddy williams is there, not 100% though), chambers and ginn jr.

they could actually be decent. and they have a pretty good defense with the addition of joey porter and the already hall of famer zach thomas.

No, Cadillac is with Tampa Bay.

But I agree with you 100% about the Pats.

It should be criminal for a team to add that much to an already stacked team.

If they dont win the Super Bowl, I would be shocked.

I didn't know Miami had Joey Porter. They're gonna be interesting this year.

miami will be dogshit terrible. ginn jr wont even play until mid-season due to his foot injury, they have a terrible o-line, their defense is aging and joey porter isnt nearly as good as he once was hence why he was released. we'll see about the pats without asante. the pats should be good but they are getting older and have maybe another year or two before their age catches up. frankly i think SD will be a beast without Marty.

When you look at who the Patriots have added, can you honestly say the loss of Samuel is going to hurt them?

I mean, really?

Thomas Jones + Leon Washington = thunder & lightning (brutal cliché, I know)

Cadillac Williams is definitely not on Miami.

who picked up Thomas Jones?

and yeah i forgot caddy williams was in tampa bay, not miami.

who ever thought SD would be beast without marty.. no. they wont do any better than they did last year. but i dont see them getting worse either. i think they lost too many coaches within the organization to get everyone on the same page IMO. 1 coach change can be difficult, i think they lost 3-4 coaches. including the head coach and defensive coordinator. i love SD and tomilson but i dont see them winning the AFC. the AFC is stacked.

the pats added alot of big name guys. thats doesnt necessarily mean they will perform up to their big name. adalius thomas i think should, but we have still yet to see either him or randy moss play a single game as a pat. remember randy moss hasn't done anything the last 2 years. now im not saying that he wont blow up, because honestly i think he will do very well, however you have to look at the facts hes coming into a new offense and he hasn't had a good year in at least 3 years. also you could argue that adalius thomas was a product of the ravens nasty d having ray lewis and ed reed. either way they should both flourish though because the pats do have a good system, however im going to wait till season starts to crown them because they are getting old. also maroney is going to be carrying most of the load now without dillon, like it or not dillon was a punisher and could get small tough pickups.

the jets thomas jones just for swapping firsts, not a bad deal for ny.

I would have loved the Bears to keep TJ.

He will definitely run up a storm for the Jets.

And Randy Moss hasn't had a good year lately because he was playing in Oakland.

Who was the QB there?

Aaron Brooks? And like, four other shitty guys?

yeah, the only thing positive in oakland is their defense.. young, fast, and hard hitting.. they have a very solid defense.

thomas on the pats is a perfect fit.. hes a versitile pass rusher who can also drop into pass coverage as a DE. he's fucking incredible.

Moss will be good because now he has a QB. and the most accurate (between him and peyton) QB in the NFL.

i dont think so, the AFC is too good. i dont think they are better than NE or the Colts. they'll make it to the AFC semi's but i dont see them getting to the AFC championship unless they catch a break and dont have to play either Indy or NE.

i honestly think the jets had a fluke season, pennington isnt that great IMO. they did add thomas jones and rivas (CB out of Pitt) so they should be pretty good again, i dont see them winning 10 games next year though. 8 or 9.

oh, SD lost in the opening game? i thought they made it to the conference semi's against NE? then NE vs. Indy for AFC championship.

im pretty confused at the moment.

so they made it to the AFC semifinals, right?

i agree they lost their first game, but i thought it was in the conference semi's and thats the furthest i think they will get next season as well.
