Question about my setup!

I'm setting up a 10 gallon aquarium in my closet. the shrooms will grow in the aquarium , but I have placed the aquarium in a 4ftx2.5ftx2ft. storage tub. my question for you guys is if i mount a flourecent light to the bottom of the lid to the tup and close the tub will that generate too much heat, and also will the light be to close? please let me know your thoughts ideas or any answer you can provide. Thanks for your time

Probally not b/c fluro's dont produce that much heat. Then again, maby it will. Just stick a thermometer in there and try it out.

will the flourecent light being within inches of the shrooms cause a problem with growth?

Thats for answering, and dont worry i plan on covering the fishtank with a sheet of glass so that the tank in sompletely enclosed. as long as i do this i wont have to worry about a fire right?

i just lay a florescent right on my rubermaid. Left it like that and on for 4 days while i went away and had no problems with heat/melting/fire. this was an ordanary 18 inch light (25 watt i think) gives off light equal to a 75 watt house light what ever it was. so i see no problem for your setup since you most likely wil not have it on for 4 days straight.
