I have had these cakes in the fruit stage now for 3 weeks.
I have one of the radio shack humidity gauges. It dosnt seem right. Digital. I have a rubbermaid container, with 2 inches of wet perlite (damp) on bottom. Still no pins. Any reason why?

Do you fan? Does it have light? If so im not sure but that seems kind of long.

add a little more water to your perilite if it is just damp, i put damp perilite in the bottom, and then add more water so that i can see a water level about halfway up the perilite, just make sure you dont float the stuff. also make sure your temps are right, i have no gages at all, i have basicly just winged it, used temps that seem resonable. and on my last cake I had enough it alone to get 3 people tripping hardcore.
