FAE automation settings **Pics**

I just recieved a Mush Master 10 kit from Mushy-Mart, and I was going to set it up to see if I have ideal conditions. I have a Holmes Air Grabber Plus pumping into my FC, and a Tropicaire humidifier that I may or may not set on a timer according to necessity. I have timers capable of on/off in 15 minute increments. If you suggest that I use the humidifier on a 24 on schedule, I'll use my second timer for the lights.
- What do you reccomend setting the FAE to come on and off? - What do you reccomend setting the humidifier to come on and off? - Should I go ahead and put the perlite in the bottom to test conditions, considering that my cakes won't be ready for at least another 10 days.
Thanks Y'all!
PS - If anyone would like to see a pic of what this system looks like all set up, let me know and I'll put a couple up here.

Do you think 15 minutes every hour (15 on 45 off) is too much? I just don't want it to get too dry, but I want to get all the CO out. This is my first grow attempt, so I really don't have an idea what to expect.

I don't know about your air grabber but I can tell you that when I started tinkering with using a pc fan for FAE that 15 minutes is way too much. It will dry out your cakes or casing layer really bad. If you can get a timer with shorter intervals then you can probably find the "sweet spot". Run your humidifer and watch it until it hits 100% then turn it off and watch it some more until the humidity drops to the point that the humidifier needs to be ran again. After you do that you should have an idea of how often/long you need to run it. If it runs 24/7 and doesn't get the humidity high enough then use your perlite too or you could just use your perlite alone and get near 100%.

Thanks atomic, Do you know where I can get a timer for a reasonable price that does <15 min intervals? If I can't manage to get one before my cakes are colonized, could I get away with running it 3-4 times a day and still keep my CO at an acceptable level? The tropicaire takes a little over 20 minutes to re-humidify the air after running the FAE. When I do run it, I drop down to the 50-55% mark. The air here is really dry, so I will definitely be using the perlite, too. Thanks for the reply, -S

Thought I'd go ahead and post a pic of the setup. The tropicaire has been running all night, and I'm sitting at 93% RH right now, it takes it about 30 minutes to reach that after an air exchange, during which it drops to 50-55.

Wow.
I like the ingenuity, but remember to KISS.
If you're investing all of this space and, now, money to this, why not just put a greenhouse in? You can just run a coolmist to it and it provides both FAE and humidity (see Oatman2000's setup, he won pic of the month in Nov. for the greenhouse).
I know you're interested in automation, so what you could do is have all of the water that drips down to the bottom collect in a tub (maybe it drips through a filter). Then put a wet/dry pump in the tub and have it run for like 5 mins a day, putting water back into your coolmist. You'll still have to top off the coolmist every so often (maybe every two weeks), but it's automated otherwise. FAE, humidity, and much much more grow space.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Do they sell those greenhouses already made (minus the attaches coolmist of course)?
