I'm going to be moving into a mushroom unfriendly zone very soon. I'm going to continue growing anyway, but I will have to do it on the sly. Any tips?

I saw someone make a stealth grow in a computer case one time. Looked cool. Try to do a search for it.

eventually, once i get my own place, im going to get a big metal cabinet, hook up one of those rechargeable car batteries to some lights, and grow in that. that way i could literally keep everything(supplies, desiccant chamber, colonizing jars, ect) inside of it. and then add a lock on it.
that what i would suggest if your looking to grow a lot of shrooms.

That toolbox is the bomb-shizzel. Nice one, mate.
Grogan, how do you manage light under the bed? I want something automatic or nearly automatic.

What kind of fc's are those? They almost look like some kind of vacuem seal jars or something.
I don't have a pic of my "stealth" grow at the moment, but its just a small clear tub(about 6.5"Wx9.5"Lx5.5"H) with moist perlite in the bottom(about an inch), a temp guage suction(sp?) cupped to the inside, 6 1/4" holes in the sides, and a small casing inside sitting on the perlite. The casing itself is only like 5"x6.5", but tonight I harvested the first flush and my guess is that I got about a half oz(dry) if not more(I'd let you know the wet weight if I had a scale, but I need to go and buy a new one). Not too shabby
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I keep it in a file cabinet, but its so small, I could find lots of places for it. I'm probably going to start an outdoor patch though once this casing is all done. Easier to hide.

Consider growing sclerotia. You can grow sclerotia entirely in vitro, either in jars or bags. Just inoculate, wait 2-3 months, harvest, and you're done. No light requirements, no FAE required, no nothing.
Sclerotia form on rye grass seeds, which are easy to prep.

i think something like that would be good, you can get bigger versions of those at walmart for $13 or so. Put it in a closet or something.

i would get a bunch of small tupperwares, like a couple inches deep and 5x5 inches surface area. that way you grow short ones, but in a wide area.
this is excellent for having a flat grow in a droor. lots of small tupperwares means you can worry less about contams taking your all of your cmpact grow at once. always have 3 quarts of spawn going, and have 3-5 quarts of it incubating. take half your droor space for fruting and the other have for tray incubation
Use LEDs for lighting. just remember that most draws are open on top, so id suggest having a way to cover it to keep dust form coming in from thr other drawers.

they are SnapWare containers(made to hold coffee beans) and they work great. they are air tight and pop up easy. i drilled one hole at the top and one hole at the bottom.
here's some Aussie's i just took a picture of...

...this whole grow im doing right now is just to make some spore syringes but i have 10 GT jars that just started showing signs of colonization...so in about 6 weeks i should be making a post in the picture area with a shitstorm of GT(i hope).
