time for pinning to initiate
    #701927 - 06/25/02 08:57 PM (21 years, 3 months ago)

I was just wondering what the normal time it takes for pf style cakes to start pinning after being birthed. I birthed my cakes into the growing chamber last friday. and see no signs of pinning as of yet. I also had some problems with the lid of the grow chamber so i did not have the correct humidiety for a few days so that could have effected it.

guess what guys I just opened up my grow chamber and one of my cakes is contaminated it is like black mushy shit with green in the middle. would it be a good idea to spray with a h20/h202 solution to help prevent the rest of the cakes from getting contaminated. I think the problem may be that it wal partially covered in perlite over the part of the cake with the contams.

just thought i would let you guys know

Remove ASAP that cake from the terrarium, it can and it will contaminate the other cakes.

Peace,

i wouldn't spray the cakes but your perlite should be damp with a mixture of H2O and H2O2. it will help prevent contams. Chemkid
