fuzzy white cake ball

alright..... overnight after birthing a cake into a 90% humidity filled terrarium.... one of my cakes has burst into a huge ball..... that looks like one of those small puffy food snacks..... is this amazingly bad or what?

When a friend first started, he had the same problem. He never got mushrooms from that ball. since then I am convinced it wasn't even mycelia... it was probably some contam. Sometimes if your humidity is too high your mycelia will get fuzzy, but this cake he had was just WAY TOO fuzzy. It looked like an afro! check out this guys pics and compare... i would say that if you have EXPONENTIALLY more fuzziness than this guy does on some of his pics, you should try reducing your humidity and if that don't work start again. how long did they take to colonize and what are you using as a terrarium and for humidity?
