presure cooker concern...

Well, i remember when i bought my pressure cooker maybe 2 years ago i didnt have funds so i bought the cheapest one wally world had at the time.. i believe i bought a mirror brand but it was not a big pc.. i think i may have gotten a 4 6 or 8 quart pc... i am wondering though, i checked the specs online and it doesnt say how many psi it does.. so i am not sure how long i need to pc my jars... is there a way to add a thermometer to the pc to see what temp i am at so i know how long to pc for???? i wanna say it does 15 psi but am not sure anyone help me out.. when i get home i will find the model number and see what it says out there but incase i can buy a thermometer of some sort for the pc i wanna go on my lunch. thanks

I think 15 is standard. Mine just has a "hi" and "lo" setting, and I just leave it on high--the roast-cooking pressure--because if it's suitable for cooking roasts, it's probably at least 15psi.
