Have you witnessed or performed 'real' magick?
    #6991766 - 05/31/07 02:23 PM (16 years, 10 months ago)

Please, no poetic answers like, "When I fell in love," or "When I saw my child being born," or "A beautiful sunrise."

No, I mean something mind-blowing and out of the realm of 'normal' human experience - something seemingly defying known physics.

And NO - tripping experiences do not count.

I was at a Toots and The Maytals concert, it was outdoors. Naturally the rains started falling. So Toots starts singing in his funky soulful reggae voice for the rains to go away, and THEY DID.

I put spells on people all the time.

The answer for me is most assuredly yes.

For example? What kind of a spell could you put on me (good or evil)?

Well, I don't consider it in that snese.

But let say you and I were to spend some time together. I would probably, most likely convince you that I am worth hanging out with and am a viable option as a friend. To me that is magick.

The first thing Orgone said was:

when a caveman would turn on the TV it would be "real magick" to him but that's because he doesn't know (and me) how the TV actually works. unexplainable things aren't magical, it just means you are probably uneducated to a degree and with enough knowledge and understanding you could explain whatever you feel needs explaining.

Not necessarily: what if something genuinely defies the laws of physics?

I don't think the issue was about time travel, but about one's inability to understand.
We call magick the occult (hidden, beyond the realm of human comprehension).
There are many things that we didn't understood in the past and considered them as being magick and now we do.
Just as how we can't understand the soul right now but maybe in the future we will

I commonly manipulate the fabric of time and space with my thoughts and bend reality to my will. Such mastery is within my power.

For a small woman to humble a large and fierce warrior - now THAT is magick!

Most folks don't realize that the Kentucky variety of sasquatch is one of the smaller breeds. Here is Hue foraging in the woods:

And just to make it clear, there is a difference between magic and magick.
The term magick, the latter, and also the one you are referring to is introduced by Aleister Crowley, and it's based on the Thelemic system. It is about using one's direct intention in manifesting a change. For him it is the REAL magick. The law of the Will. :smirk:
So, if it THAT what you're talking about, let me tell that yes, it works, if you refer to plain magic, as in illusion, then well I guess that it does on the measure you rely on illusion
