If you have O neg your blood is the most useful there is, your universal donor.
O neg = universal donor, anyone can be given this blood
AB pos = universal receptor, they can receive anyones blood, the greedy fuckers.
The rest, it depends.
Also, it is statistically more probable he is A + than anything else, but he COULD be even bombay phenotype (extremely rare, happens in 1 out of 100 000 people and they can only recieve blood from each other) but I doubt it as it would have appeared on his birth blood tests and he would know already.

I think you are mistaken... I believe that it's O postive that is the universal donor.
Edit...I'm wrong.

"Type O-negative blood does not have any antigens. It is called the "universal donor" type because it is compatible with any blood type. Type AB-positive blood is called the "universal recipient" type because a person who has it can receive blood of any type. Although "universal donor" and "universal recipient" types are occasionally used to classify blood in an emergency, blood type tests are always done to prevent transfusion reactions."

When you a born, they take a sample of your blood to test for different illnesses and also to get your blood type.
it is standard procedure and saves loads of lives every day.
It even goes on your baby bracelet.
