i'm really curious as to whats gonna happen with that cake. you coulda just revolusionized cake growing. could easily rehydrate the cake after each flush with nutrient water leaving the only real factor of contamination. i'd like to see what this superhydrated cake looks like.

Wow, now that is interesting. . .
I've thought of playing with pressure, but could never buy anything I'd seen an infomercial for. . .except the flowbie.
Might just have to build a little 'hypobaric' system and give it a rip on some casings. . .

very cool. a couple questions: 1.) how much water did you add? 2.) how much do you thnk you could add without inviting too much contamination?

One word, FATASSES.
This might be great for rehydrating cakes after a few flushes, but I bet you'll see overly wet, hard to dry and bloated shrooms. Especially with strains which are more susceptible to bloating. Hope it wasn't the PFC strain.
Great idea for rehydration though.

Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

It is a good idea. I have been using a vacuum sealer for various cultivation experiments for some time now. I rarely have any trouble.
and if you're really cheap....they go for about $20-$30 on ebay

You can get the pumpNSeal at any department store for less than $20. It works great.
