Syd made the band in the beginning. The newer stuff is good, but nothing can compare to piper at the gates of dawn. Thats gotta be the best album ever made. Nothing after that can ever compare.

Reminds me of when I got to see Roger about 98-99 only it was in support of the wall being 20 years old or something.. I was about 20 rows back on the floor, let me tell ya when you hear Breathe try not to shit yourself.. Have fun I'm super jealous I'd love too see about any show at Madison only been to one show in NYC the Black Crowes first show back after breaking up for a few years at Hammerstein...

I saw Roger Waters last year, some say he lost his voice but i thought he did pretty good.  Not only that, but with age his songs have went onto a whole new level.  anywhays, have fun :smile:

I cant really compare one album to another when it comes to floyd.

I mean, one of my favorite albums musically is the division bell.

I think their best album is darkside.
Have fun listening to "any color you like" OneLessForeskin .............lol

To me there are 3 floyds. Syd floyd, waters floyd, and gilmore floyd, and the other two guys were there during all that good stuff.

My favorite stuff was written by waters and sung by gilmore.
Syd and waters were two totally different animals.

It really is as if at the heart of it, there are 2 pink floyds.

Pink floyd, and floyd minus syd. A transition period lays inbetween.

The first certainly influenced the later. I LOVE them both.

As for those who think their earlier stuff was somehow a beetles rip off, well, you dont know what the fug ye talkins bout.....lol
