surround negotive ions generators?

I have a negotive surround air generator that supposedly kills bacteria in the air
from www.surroundair.com. I'm just wondering if there is any teks on how it could be used to keep contaminants away or any info if that hurts mycelium at all?
Could I just put that next to the jars? Pros/cons?

Not sure about killing bacteria......but those things will get rid of ANY smell very effectively........great if your growin herb

Not sure but doubt there are really any overly helpful use to mushies but i could be wrong....................

on second thought i may be thinking of an ozone generator.......
