Hola,

Gentamicin.........Gentamicin sulphate
Asparagine..........Asparagine-L Monohidrate
Asparagine..........Asparagine Monohidrate (S)-(+)
Asparagine..........Aspartic acid-DL
Asparagine..........Aspartic acid L-Potassium salt
Asparagine..........Aspartic acid L-Magnesium salt
Asparagine..........Aspartic acid L-PRS Panreac

Sorry but these last ones couldn´t be translated.

Ammonium..........AMONIO FOSFATO DIAMONICO TECNICO Ammonium..........AMONIO FOSFATO DIAMONICO Food grade
Ammonium..........AMONIO FOSFATO MONOAMONICO TECNICO
Ammonium..........AMONIO FOSFATO TRIBASICO QP
Ammonium..........AMONIO FOSFATO TRIAMONICO RA
Ammonium..........AMONIO FOSFATO MONOBASICO QP

Thanks.

you said you want to buy supplements, the stuff in your list are not supplements to my knowledge...at least not your normal ones?

typically you add something like "wheat bran" and a pinch of gypsum to supplement sawdust

however im guessing your question has nothing to do with this kind of supplements. you need to fill us in on what your trying to do

I think sporeworks has Gentamicin sulphate but any shop dealing with koi should stock it. The others will be on nutritional supplement shops online try to google them.

I want the gentamicin for agar work and the others to experiment either with agar and end substrates. Specially for sclerotia producers.

Thanks.

I would call them addetives not supplements, but i don't really see the need in splitting hairs.:ohwell:

I used the gent sulfate back in the day.  But never used it again after that.

I´m searching and reading about sclerotia producers and want to try new things. Maybe "supplements" isn´t the best way to name them but english is not my mother language, sorry.
The gentamicin, as said, is for agar work with contaminated material and the rest is for agar also and to experiment with end substrates. Some of the "supplements" listed supposedly increase sclerotia production and I just wanna try the new stuff I´m learning and to check out the results.

Gentmycin sulphate will help to control bacteria when cloning wild mushroom tissue. It's not necessary when working with spores or indoor grown cultures. I rarely use it anymore unless I've harvested some wild specimens and want to clone them. I'm not familiar with the others, sorry.

Flaming isn't allowed in this forum, so keep it nice please.

say someone trys to clone a wild specimen. Would it be smart to rinse the flesh in alcohol or maybe a weak iodine solution?

Thanks for the reply RR.

I don´t like to flame but you can see in my posts and replies that I respect everyone. This time I´m responding to a direct attack and in my philosophy of life I have the right to respond in the manner I consider appropiate. I´m not a bad person but I´m not Gandhi, nor Jesus or Buda. If someone wants a war he/she is gonna have a war, a big one. And to finish with this shitty situation, this guy is lucky we weren´t talking face to face because if so I would fucking open his head in two halfs with a hammer.

for what it's worth, i contacted him by pm, and (unless a bug prevented it) haven't yet seen the receipt that he received it. when he does, i can assure you he's either going to come in here and eat some humble pie, or face a temporary forum ban. mind you, we're all grey now so i can't tell if he's online or not.

this is one of the serious and respectful forums. i didn't just delete his comments outright so that others could watch the fallout process for themselves. please keep pottymouth activity to OTD.

No.
I was high on ego. How dare I ask you to have a point to grow toward via the intake that, you yourself, are questioning.

Yes.
I was abused.
Do YOU feel better>?

Because I thought I had a lot of things figured out.
THEN
I went to complete shit.
Because that's what happens when I think I have things figured out.
I attack others because they ask questions of topics I think I have covered without any clear benefit to them. They do it because it sounds good. And they have no idea where it might take them.

No end to the mean, you see.
Might even be real bad for them.

Usually, I'd read back on whatever I'd ranted at at find some flaw.
But all I'm finding is me being 'tardeddrunk fuck, failing in manners, and not asking nicely.
That was totally my fault, my thing, my bad.
But did you really have the goal set?

Sorry about that.
I shouldn't have replied to a que...

... I have to, stabbing from Hell's sweet heart, to implore your setting of a goal for yourself in relation to intake.
Then, and only then, should advice be given.

Actually, you flamed on the very first response to the thread. Both shirley and myself asked you to keep that kind of talk elsewhere. We have a lot of members here that do not have English as their first language, and judging from your replies, you're also one of them.

Flaming is not allowed in this forum. Use your time off wisely.

In numerous side-by side-tests, I've found a rather large difference in the amount of sclerotia produced by simply hydrating the rye berries or rye grass seed with weak liquid coffee. Use your leftover morning coffee, diluted with water to about half normal drinking strength. Don't make it stronger than that, or growth actually slows, possibly due to the low pH.

I've noticed this in several sclerotia producing species including morels. I'm not sure what it is in the coffee that produces the result, but it doesn't seem to be the caffeine. Other growers have added pure caffeine, and not seen the benefit, and still others have used decaf coffee and the benefits were noticeable. Good luck.

OK thanks, I´ll try the coffee thing in my next batch.
By hydrating, do you mean to just let the grain soak overnight or maybe some simmering is requiered?

Or you can soak in a weak bleach solution, so i have read with plant tissue culturing.

Mycophile would soak tissue in a weak solution of peroxide and distilled water.

I've used bleach also, and it's effective against bacteria. I don't like peroxide because it tends to damage the mushroom mycelium right at the time you're trying to get it to grow as rapidly as possible to outrun contaminants, which always seem to have a faster recovery time than the mushroom mycelium.
