Mushrooms Dying, Please Help!!

I have been using the very basic PF Tek to grow my mushrooms and I have never had problems until just recently. My cakes, especially when using double casing, are not growing that many mushrooms and what does grow doesn't do so for very long. They begin pinning really well and some will begin going past pinning and start making little mushrooms, and then it just all goes down hill. What is happening is at first they begin to get soft and mushy at the base and it quickly builds from there. Then they begin turning blue from the base and it works its way to the tip and they die. Normally from a cake that has been double cased I can get maybe 6-10 good mushies, but now I am lucky if I get two. I am watering once in the morning and once in the evening, sometimes just in the morning. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Make sure you aren't over-watering. Make sure you're not directly misting your cakes, only mist the sides of your terrarium(or whatever you're using).
