Small , Yellow Mushrooms.

Found in West Michigan May 16th

Ringless stem about 2.5" long. cap 1.25" across
hollow stem appears not to be attached to dark yellow cap
cap is darker towards center.

Cap is mostly smooth with waves / bumps towards center.
Pleasant odor and taste (not bitter)

lighter yellow gill. No sporeprint yet but I'm assuming they are close to gill color.

growing in clumps in pine and oak debris.

The closet I coul find in my guide is Naematoloma fasciculare..but doesn't quite fit.
Any ideas?

Thanks, wow..it's amazing how quickly the color fades on these mushrooms. The spore print does appear to be light brown. The mushrooms now also appear to be tan / light brown.

wiked - taste of a mushroom is a crucial component for many IDs. It is completely safe to nibble a small piece, roll it around on your tongue, and then spit it out and rinse your mouth. If you know you have an Amanita or Inocybe etc., then you shouldn't do this. However, even with poisonous mushrooms it is unlikely that this technique (advocated in many guidebooks) will cause any harm.

Yep, that came as a bit of a surprise. Don't taste any Cortinarius. Though those two species referred to in the other post are pretty rare, and maybe only present in Europe.
