Sounds like you could be having a Trichoderma outbreak. Trichoderma is an acid loving mold. To raise the pH of your casing soil sprinkle it with some baking soda, esp. where the green stuff is. Otherwise if it looks like it's spreading, you might want to get rid of it or isolate it before it spreads everywhere

Sounds like it might also be bruising. Did you touch the shroom, or is there anything that could have bumped it?
I have several on the sides of my casing, that I assume became bruised when I uncased the casing and placed it in a grow chamber type of setup.
