do i have to fan dry before i put them into my dessicant container? and what will happen if i don't? please help me out

You really should otherwise your dessicant will get used up fast.

but it will not lower potency or anything right... it won't hurt if i just throw them into the container then... also once the dessicant is dryed up ca i reactivate it?

I just put them on a paper towel overnite or maybe 2 overnites and then put them in the reactivated desicant container.
My desicant came with instructions on how to reactivate in the oven. I would bet that yours did too.

Unfortuantly a lot of them do not. I cook mine for one hour at 425degrees. If I get any large clumping I will put them into a plastic bag and crush them with a hammar

Place your fresh mushrooms on a cookie tray and use a small fan to dry them for 48 to 72 hours until they seem as dry as they can get. Then, turn the oven off and crack the oven door open for 10 minutes. After ten minutes is up, go ahead and insert the cookie tray (with the mushrooms) into the oven. Keep the door cracked and let them dry for no more than 20 minutes. After 20 minutes is up remove them and let them cool. They should be as dry as they can get (solid).<<<

Thats the easiest way? Wow, I must be doing mine wrong then with a 24hr fanning and then 12hr damprid chamber.

ive gone to just tossing in a damprid chamber. my fan is too loud and causes suspicion. anyways damp rid is like what 3 bux so using it up isnt a big deal unless its hard to get for you.

if posible mount place them behind your computer. that will dry them out nice and quick expecialy if your computer runs as hot as mine. Then into the damp rid chamber for 12 hours until cracker dry
