My FOAF is wondering if his cakes are close to pinning. They have some mycellium spikes and clumps and maybe hyphal knots (not sure.)





I forgot to mention, they have been in the terrarium for a week and were birthed about 4 or 5 days after 100% colonization.

They look like they are getting close. Did your FOAF put a dry layer of verm on top? They don't look fully colonized. Also, if you aare seeing dense knots, you are a few days away. I have never heard of them being called "Hyphal knots".

Thanks for the replies! Looks like it won't be too much longer now...

Bassplayer is right, they have a double-ended casing that was added after birth. Also they are being misted once or twice a day.
