I wish I could explain it better but I was cold and hot at the same time, tired and heavy yet I couldent rest. Very confused, lonely, disjointed thoughts about everything bad, parinoid.

I didn't look at a clock but I remember how long it took for songs to end and thinking that time was moving so slowly.

How was your mood before starting?
What was the setting?
All these can influence your trip, when in a tight spot Sing, what ever, like a chant, it works for me.
I never take anything; to calm down I just sing and ridded it out.
But I haven't had a bad trip since I started doing it in nature, but I use to when doing it in the city (never again)!

damn i remmember my only bad trip... it was 3-4 years ago... it was the first time i used LSD... all my friends took a half lsd blotter and i took one and a half!!!!!
this night was too fuckin' horrible!! i was scared to death!!!
i wouldnt expect too much power from a small piece of paper;-))))

Maybe your subconcious was trying to tell you something. Sometimes you just can't stop a bad trip no matter how strong you are or how many times you tripped without a having one. It happens. You can't eat alot of chili without having the shits, ya know? It's bound to happen sometime.

Whenever I start to take a bad turn. I try to put on tunes. I have pulled my friends out of my bad friends by the music they love the most.

i dont get bad trips. you have to prepare yourself for the experience. people who do not realize the power of this drug are in for a ride. push all the negative thoughts out of your mind and realize its only a drug, not reality. xanax is what doctors give people who come to the hospital bad tripping and freakin out, so i guess that will make the trip come down.

I once felt the same way as you if you read my origional post I thought that I would never have a bad trip after 30 years of experience!

but it did happen and like I said even the best music didn't help much.

I now believe much of it was caused by the effects of the high dose on my body, not my mind>>>>

1) cup grandma's tummymint tea w/honey & ginseng... (or other calming/tonic tea combo..)
2) 100 - 250 mg niacinamide or inositol hexanicotinate.. (not niacin, which will work but causes "flushing" (due to vasodilaton), esp if taken on an empy stomach)
3) 1 tablet valium or xaxax (or other benzodiazapine...)
4) 1 tablet thorazine or stelazine (or other phenotiazine anti-psychotic)(NOTE:some anthistamies have antipsychotic/sedative action, and some antipsychotics have anthistamine/anti-nauseant activity e.g. compazine)

The details of your experience don't surprise me all that much... I'd have to say in response that set and setting aren't the most important thing - it's what's in your head, and there are unpleasant things in everyone's head. Some or perhaps most of the time you manage to stick to the pleasant ones but I'm sure I'm not the only person here who doesn't see the mushroom as a 100% benevolent and friendly entity at all times...

Or perhaps I am?
