Habitat: Found growing in a wood chipped landscaped garden near a lake.
Gills: Kind of hard to tell, whitish, but some have gone a little more browny.
Stem: White and hollow.
Cap: Orangey or gold colour..
Spore print: In the process of right now.
Bruising: I have not really noticed much bruising, but I am not great with distinguishing colours, how prominent will it be?
Location: Near Geelong Vic Australia
Pictures
I tried to take these photos in as much natural light as i could, but because it cloudy and raining, not alot was available. Let me know if more photos are required.

Sorry mate but they are not active. My guess would be Strophoria Aurantiaca.

Yeah mate they do like similar conditions. Whenever I find subs these are usually growing close by.

ahh I hate these things... especially when I see a whole hillside covered with them from a distance I get a bit excited
As shroomeup said they're usually a good sign though as they come up in exactly the same conditions as subs. Take a good look at them so you can identify them in the future because they often grow side-by-side with subs, even in the middle of a big patch!

hmmm, after checking out all the photos on erowid again, im suprised how incredibly similar these look to subs.
So is the only way to tell them apart by blue bruising and spore prints?
Because to me, the colours of the caps etc look remarkably similar. Also how long do mushrooms take to bruise?
Thanks for the ID help guys, i really appreciate it.

I agree that these are probably S. aurantica. They have redder caps than Psilocybes, usually much redder. These look a bit faded. They share the same habitat with wood loving psilocybes. These mushrooms definitely have that strophariaceae look.

Heh, nah stropharia dude
When you find some actives come back to this post and compare, the difference is very noticable. The color and striated margins are the most obvious things that are different between subs and stroph.
You're looking in the right places though

haha, yeah it is kinda hard for me to spot the color difference there, although i am pretty crap at distinguishing colours. Luckily i may have just meet a few old friends and when i told them ive taken an interest in hunting informed me they have been into it for years (i had not seen them in ages.)
They said they would give me a call next time they head out, show me what to look for and stuff, which i was extremely happy about.
Im not looking for the worlds largest haul, just enough to let me have a good trip every couple of months. I find it a fantastic stress breaker from work. Im normally an acid man, but want to get more shroom experience because it hard to tell what they put on blotters now days.
Any way thanks everyone, im so digging this forum, everyone is so keen to help, its awesome
Peace.
