Would you agree the sole purpose of communicating with other human beings is because you want something from them? For example:

Why am I here on this message board reading and posting? Is it not because I have something to gain from the insights everyone posts here? Why does a baby cry when its hungry or when it soils its diaper? Does it want something from the mother?

Just as a fun experiment, next time you talk to somebody think about why that person made conversation with you, and vice-versa. It will all come down to very basic emotional needs, fears, desires and so on.

i agree with you as well about commnuication. its suited for getting things one wants, doesn't the saying go the wise man is silent, knowing all he needs will be provided and so asks for nothing? makes sense to me, have faith and shut up, no games..
