Ok so this is my first post so cut me some slack if i make any errors, but anyways, i live in rhode island, and lately i have been contemplating to go out and hunt for mushrooms in my local area, but from this website, i havent been able to specifically target any type of mushroom that grows rhode island, only in the surrounding states (mass. & conn.). Can anyone verify that they have seen or picked active mushrooms in rhode island? If so, please state the habitat and the time of year in which this mushroom comes around.
thanks, banche1235

There have been some members here in the past that have posted threads which included active finds in RI. I believe the member nofind_um was from there... if you look it up with the search posts feature, I think you will find threads full of pictures, info on time of year found, species, etc. Try locatiing his profile and finding the threads he started. That or searching the hunting forum for "rhode island".
edit: here, check these threads out. I looked it up real quick for you to save you some time. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/userposts.php?number=114329&tosearch=main

When I first came to this site, I asked the same question and got all kinds of, "you cant ask that" answers. So being from, MA but now residing in OR I can tell you with absoulte certainty and personal experience that [specific location removed - see rules] will show you what you desire if you look in the right spots. That's all I wil provide so please dont ask for specifics unless you PM me(and only the poster).
