Every single day that I am breathing. But I don't need no cheesy animated butterflies to remind me of it.

Yes indeed. Although, I already had a pretty good idea of how the rest of the world lives, and then I almost died.
It's hard not to appreciate everything after that.
Each minute in this country, with the body I have, is a blessing.

Some are, a lot aren't. Depression and anxiety versus getting a new car or a bigger house.

Maybe.... just maybe...... Material items are not the key to happiness as so many TV ads have told me.
Maybe, there is something else, something that matters more, something that is finite, transient, and ever changing. Hmmmm, but what...
Indescribable things of great beauty and importance, that have no monetary value. Hmmm, but what?.......

I always found that nature made me feel complete, being in the woods has a very big impact on the way I feel, I think theres alot of energy that a person can feel in the woods. That and being in love are the best answers to the big question.

Wow, I have to agree with that 100%. I can relate to that without a doubt .
In fact, I can't wait to go camping this year, and unwind/deprogram. The forest makes me feel raw and alive. Fuck SSRI's IMHO. 5HTP, and 4 camping trips a year will keep me sane. (well, pretty happy and productive....sanity is relative)

Thats real cool shit to know there is others who enjoy nature so much. I think I might go camping too, I'll bring maybe a half oz of some sticky green and just chillax in my tent and hike around and such.

Ditto.
Once when I was camping with friends, I snuck away. Smoked a joint. Sat down, propped my head against a log. And just relaxed as if I was laying on a couch.
I suppose before houses and farms, humans did this all the time. When they were not hunting/ etc.
Laying on a soft moss covered spot of earth. And playing my guitar, it soon became apparent, that every tree, all around me, every inch of ground I could see, every fallen log, everything in my field of vision pretty much, was covered in a beautiful green moss.
I sat there stoned and playing guitar for about an hour. And at one point I cried tears of joy.
That was a centering experience, and an amazing release I would like to repeat again.
I've been planing this years trip for 2 years. Well.. trying to get in organized.
We will be bringing all sorts of drugs. Mostly cannabis and psychedelics. But I also plan on brining acoustic guitars and basses, drums, a paint set, and a notebook.
Should be amazing fun.

Sounds like a real moving experience, I hope you get to feel the same way again next time you go camping. I think for me, im going to bring the laptop, but I'd need something else to keep the battery charged. Oh well, maybe a notebook would be better.

I have a wonderful girlfriend and I'm great with people, I get new friends with no more effort than opening the front door; yet I never for a second feel blessed. Every emotion I show is a part of my mask. I don't feel.

good post, it's nice to be reminded once in a while how truly blessed many of us are to be where we are in life ...
I can only name two things in my life which I feel are a serious burden, and at least one of them is 100% solvable (in due time), while the other is just reasonable enough to deal with but not necessarily curable.
life is pretty cool after all, it's just lame sometimes ...

Notebook all the way.
Still if you are at a cabin, a little electricity isn't evil imo.
But I love those trips where I disconnect from all that stuff and just live with the forest. Wash with pure soap, in the river. And so on......
Still one of the best times I ever had was at a millionaires cabin(hard to believe eh? ) doing mushrooms with his daughter and my friends. Oh and we took his jet skis for a few spins.
And no, he was not around at the time.

-Blessed -Nature Two related subjects but, IMHO no matter how much I'd rather climb a tree than go shopping (yes I'm still female) one can be blessed in a city no?
I'm breathing...pretty, no, very cool. I won't list the rest like heart beating etc. but, to use an old phrase, you get my drift.
I've prepared bodies for burial and every time I walked out of the funeral home to return to my every day problems I thought: "I'm walking outta there. I can see, I can feel the wind on my face!"
I once had a professor who said something I've kept with me over the years and that was "If we all wrote down our challenges/painful situations and we put them in the middle of the table between us (For the Shroomers that'd be one BIG table eh?) and randomly chose another's problems we'd all throw it back down b/c we're equipped somehow with inner tools to cope with out own challenges but could never handle someone else's burden".
I understood that as to mean to carry another person's burden as our own in real life, not just to support someone who's down which, we all try to do here and there.
The 1st time I did mushrooms was while camping to celebrate graduating H.S. We were in the woods right near a beach. Fire pit, friend with guitar. It was awesome! Well, till about two hours later when our guitar playing friend threw up with his head out the tent opening about 15 times during a heavy rain storm. Bummer...mostly for him. The camp fire was something to remember though.
May you all be blessed with great stuff for enlightenment! Happpy camping!

Awesome post. Every bit of it was interesting. But I especially liked the above. Very cool.
