Hmm, looks like an EQ from the pictures i've seen.. I suggest letting one mature and then comparing.. cuz alot of mushrooms look simalair when small. :Q

Hi,

You say you've grown PF's strain before and these are different. Well if these were Ecuadors, the others were probably Matias Romero, his usual strain.

PF sells Equadors too I think.....And I think you should eat that..its the only way to really be sure.

PF wouldn't be selling spores of poisonous mushrooms, it's safe to eat. The "Psilocybe Fanaticus" strain is actually Matias Romero a.k.a. Amazonian Cubensis. They usually have very fat stems and average size caps. That looks like and Ecuador to me, but I may be mistaken.

The pics on his page have a colored light shining on them to bring out the shrooms. Don't worry they are fine. If your that concerned, send them to me.I'll eat them. I'm like Mikey I'll eat anything as long as it has been douched or will make me trip!!!

Hey HeyabusaXT if Amazonian and Matias Romero are the same then how come Stamet's lists them separately with different descriptions on page 196 of "The Mushroom Cultivator" ??? I had always thought PF sold Amazonians not Matias Romero? Anyone know?

From what I heard, the Matias Romero was described in some mag as being 'Amazonian' because of it's size, not as a place of origin or seperate name.
