Just about every hardware store has them. Usually labeled hygrometer. A duel thermometer/hygrometer will run a few bucks for a cheap one.

I saw some at Radio Shack the other day. Seemed like they were in the $20 range but didn't look real close as I have one already. I bought mine at a store that specializes in growing equipment, halogins, etc.

I heard cigar stores have the most accurate ones, at about $12.------------------ this time, the revolution will NOT be televised.

Cigar shops usually sell a few thermo-hygro's but they usually sell them at a high price - I know, I smoke cigars. The best unit I saw for the money was at Radio Shack - $25, most cigar shops sell these digital ones for $35 and up. I posted the specific model # last week - they have two types, I got the cheaper/smaller unit - do a search on this site "radio Shack"

Are the hygrometers you guys are talking about accurate about 70% humidity? I've used two - one that came with a humidifier, and another that I got at a pet shop, and they both never went about 70%, even though I had terrarium walls that were running with sweat beads. What gives? -Myco

walmart has some for about $10. but i've found that they are useless. they're not accurate at all. just use some perlite for humidity and don't worry about it. the shrooms will tell you if the humidity is wrong.samboski

Radio shack part part #63-1013, cost 24.99.Has min/max temperature and min/max humidity. Accuracy? Well, I guess it works. Can't compare it to anything. Don't let water drip into it though, phzzzt it dies. (take it back, say its defective.) ------------------ I think the monkeys at the zoo should have to wear sunglasses so they can't hypnotize you.
