i was wondering if there was any way that you could consume already colonized substrate that hasn't fruited yet. does anybody know how potent that would be or the effects associated with consumption. id appreciate a response.

You can provided that the cake is a couple of weeks old. Never tried it though. Fruiting the cakes is more productive.
Check the grow/find section of the shroomery. Then choose grow mushrooms and after that go to mycelial culture techniques.
There's a tek in that section that will teach you how to extract the magic ingredients from rye spawn with cranberry juice. Look for it. Or do a search in this forum because this Q was asked many times.
