To case, or not to case, that is the question.

This is uncased compost started with rye grain spawn, the temp is now 70 and RH is 99%. It's been 14 days since spawning the compost. The strain is either Thai or Cambodian (not sure which).

I have some peat/lime casing. Should I do it? If so, should I do the whole cake, or use a test area? Should I bother pasturizing the peat/lime?

Personally Id go for it. I wouldnt fruit it directly, Id throw casing over the whole thing.

I got a tray of horse poop colonizing nicely atm I plan to case with 50/50 oyster.

And yes pasturize the peat/lime if you can sterilize it do it, you can never be to clean take no chances=)

just my 2 cents if that helps.
